De World Poker Tour komt naast de WPT Barcelona met een tweede toernooi in Europa op de proppen: World Poker Tour Venice in Italië.

Het main event van de World Poker Tour in Venetië begint op 6 mei en eindigt op 10 mei. Bwin, de grootste online gaming en gambling site, is partner van de WPT voor dit toernooi en zal het toernooi sponsoren.

“We’re thrilled to launch our first ever brick-and-mortar WPT tournament offering in Italy,” aldus CEO Steve Lipscomb van de WPT. “Bwin is a strong partner with the right market position in the region. We look forward to working with them to bring this event and the WPT brand to poker players in Italy and Europe.”

BWIN heeft op haar website een vergelijkbare webcast als PokerStars tijdens de EPT's en zal deze WPT ook gaan uitzenden.

Het toernooi wordt gehouden in het Casino di Venezio en de buy-in bedraagt €4,000+€400.
