Tristan Wade heeft het vierde WSOPE event op zijn naam weten te schrijven. De Amrikaan won het €3200 NLHE Shootout event goed voor €182.000,- en zijn eerste WSOP bracelet. In de heads up wist hij de Canadees Mike "SirWatts" Watson te verslaan. Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier werd vijfde in dit event.

Tristan Wade: "The World Series of Poker is the best tournament series in the world. So, winning a gold bracelet in one of these events is a feat that most people will never accomplish. And, I understand that. I have played enough poker and enough events to understand that when you actually do win a bracelet, you can't take it for granted. You have to realize how it is to win. I would rather win a World Series bracelet rather than any other tournament. I am so glad I did. Now, I hope I can knock down some other tournaments, as well."

In event nummer vijf zijn er nog 16 spelers over van de 125 die gestart zijn. Het event kent een bijzonder formaat. Op de eerste dag speelt men 9-handed, op de tweede dag zijn alle tafels 6-handed geworden en vandaag op de laatste dag spelen de 16 overgebleven spelers heads-up. Door middel van loting zullen de tegenstanders bepaald worden. Er zal verder gespeeld worden met 2500/5000 blinds en 500 ante.
