PokerStars heeft eindelijk de veel gevraagde Mac client beschikbaar gesteld voor zijn spelers. Spelers konden al op een PokerStars draaien, maar hadden daar nog andere software bij nodig.

Joe Hachem: "This is a great addition for both PokerStars and the poker playing audience. This will allow Mac users to experience the world largest online poker site without third-party applications."

Voorheen was er uitsluitend een beta versie beschikbaar voor Mac gebruikers, terwijl PokerStars het afgelopen jaar heeft gewerkt aan software die compatible zou zijn met Mac OS 10.4.10 en latere versies. De software is beschikbaar in meer dan 15 talen en de support wordt nog iedere dag uitgebreid.

"The launch of PokerStars for Mac surpasses other web-based and outdated online poker Mac applications and secures PokerStars commitment to enhancing the experience for all players," aldus de poker site in het persbericht.

"PokerStars understands what gamers want. Although PCs are still the top gaming platform, the number of online games for Mac has been growing by leaps and bounds," zegt Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, 2008 PCA Champion en gamer in hart en nieren.
