De Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) bevestigt dat er gesprekken gaande zijn met de licentienemers van Full Tilt Poker, alsmede met een derde partij die overweegt Full Tilt Poker te herfinancieren.

De AGCC is de licentieverstrekker van de online pokerroom en trok de licentie vorige week in met als gevolg dat Full Tilt Poker haar activiteiten moest staken. Sindsdien was het niet meer mogelijk om op Full Tilt Poker te spelen.

In de verklaring (pdf alert) schrijven zij:

Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) is in discussions, all be at an early stage, with its licensees trading as Full Tilt Poker and a third party concerning the prospective refinancing of Full Tilt Poker.
The objective of these discussions is to enable the site to re-open to its current and prospective players.

In de verklaring stellen zij ook dat Werner Bers (die een interview gaf aangaande de kwestie) niet namens de AGCC sprak. Hij doet voorkomen alsof hij namens de AGCC, zo zei hij: "After careful consideration, we decided to revoke the license. The operations of Full Tilt were simply not compatible with our trade law any more."

De AGCC hierover: "Contrary to current reports circulating in the media, AGCC has not authorised any statement by legal counsel in this regard and has no knowledge of the comments attributed by the editor of Gambling City.net to a Mr. Werner Bers, of whom we are otherwise unaware, and disputes the correctness of his statement."

Of Full Tilt Poker nu een stap dichterbij heropening van de pokerroom is, zal nog moeten blijken. Ook lijkt het er op dat zij bezig zijn een licentie te verkrijgen bij de Kahnawakee Gaming Commission.
