Bijna dagelijks schrijven we over Team Full Tilt Poker Pro Gus Hansen, zo ook vandaag weer. Nadat hij dinsdag al $3097 per hand won in een korte $500/$1000 PLO Cap sessie tegen Rui Cao deed hij datzelfde gisteren tegen David "Raptor" Benefield. Niet helemaal hetzelfde, want Gus won geen $350.000,- maar "slechts" $150.000,- in 135 handen van de oud huisgenoot van Tom "durrrr" Dwan.

Gus zelf heeft de afgelopen maanden weinig van zich laten horen qua interviews over zijn enorme winsten van de voorbije maanden. Tot gisteren toen hij voor de Deense site Acemag.dk enkele vragen beantwoorde:

Hoe kijkt Gus Hansen terug op de afgelopen 6 maanden?

"PLO is probably the most streaky form of poker, and I have definitely been lucky in these games lately. But I also feel that I have become better at the game, better at varying my own game and more patient in the decisive situations. If you add this to a couple of river hits, then you get a recipe for a couple of very lucrative months. Additionally, the triple draw games - not counting a smaller setback in January - have been very nice to me "

PLO Cap game zijn nieuwe vaste game?

"I'm currently sticking to the PLO CAP games because I've being doing well in these, and as they say, never change a winning game. The variance is smaller, and besides that I don't see the reason to play pots of 2, 3 or $400,000 that are often decided by a coinflip. I still have troubles stopping at the right time though, especially when I'm on tilt. But it seems as the concentration has been better and this means I can think a bit more objectively about things when shit hits the fan."
