Party Poker en Matchroom Sports hebben al jaren een goede samenwerking als het gaat om het organiseren van de PartyPoker Premier League en de PartyPoker Women's World Open.

David Benyamine werd vorige maand gekroond tot winnaar van de Premier League IV (lees hier) en nu staat de Women's World Open voor de deur.

Het event wordt in London gehouden op 23 en 24 maart en er zullen 24 vrouwen aan deelnemen. De vrouwen die al hebben aangegeven mee te gaan strijden om de titel zijn:

De buy-in voor het toernooi is $3.000.

Er worden drie heats gespeeld met acht speelsters: No Limit Hold'em uiteraard en deep stacked. De nummers één en twee gaan over naar de six handed finaletafel.

"The PartyPoker.com Women's World Open has proved extremely popular with players, viewers and broadcasters over the last three seasons," zegt Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Sport director. "As the game continues to grow, we have made a number of changes to our formats that enables the viewers to watch a deeper-stacked game with more skill, where players can really showcase their ability and flair."

Een woordvoerder van PartyPoker over de vierde editie van de Women's World Open: "Last year Aisling proved that Britain's got talent, but the same can be said about Japan in the form of Wooka Kim. Both will be strong contenders for the title this year. We've made the stacks deeper and the competition is just as fierce."
